How it works

From an idea to a crowned winner, in five steps.

Quizzicle is built around a single host driving the game and a room of phones reacting in real time. Here's a walkthrough of one round.

STEP 01

Build the quiz in the admin panel.

Drop in rounds. Drop in questions. Mix any of the five question types — free text, multiple choice, pin a place, in the range, stop when they sing.

Reorder rounds and questions from the admin panel.
Upload MP3 audio files or images.
Save quizzes and run them again on a different night.

STEP 02

Open the viewer. Share the join code.

The viewer screen is what the whole room sees. A four-letter code, a URL, and a wall of dashed boxes waiting to be filled by your players. Throw it on a TV, a projector, or a spare laptop.

A new session code is generated each time you start.
Designed to be read from across a noisy room.
Updates in real-time, so refreshes never happen mid-round.

STEP 03

Players join from their phone.

Type the four-letter code. Pick a name and either choose an avatar or draw one yourself. No account, no app, no email address. The whole onboarding takes about ten seconds.

Mobile-first; designed for one-hand portrait.
Works on any phone — no install required.
Up to 18 players per quiz.

STEP 04

Play the round in sync.

You advance through the questions from the admin panel. Players tap or type the answer on their phone. The room watches the counter tick up: "8 / 16 Answered."

Real-time updates across every device — no refreshes.
Show the answer after each question, or after the whole round.
Exact matches auto-score; near misses go to the host for a call.

STEP 05

Crown a winner.

Scores update behind the scenes after every question — revealed at the end of each round. A full podium when the last answer is in — gold, silver, bronze, plus the rest of the rankings.

Player avatars or drawings appear on the scoreboard.
Optional manual bonus points to break ties.
Run the quiz again on a different night as many times as you want.
